Powersystems UK Ltd is a high voltage engineering company specialising in electrical power infrastructure, grid connections and renewable generation. Due to continuing success within these sectors and expansion we are seeking experienced Electricians to join our existing team on projects throughout the UK.  Due to the nature of our work, candidates will be required to travel and stay away from home.

►   Key Duties:

  • Undertake site electrical installations including lighting & power, cable tray / ladder, cable installation, switchgear installation.
  • Carry out Inspections and testing to both new and existing installations.
  • To undertake electrical maintenance on customer’s installations as necessary.
  • To provide assistance to the HV teams on larger site installations.
  • Take a Supervisory role when necessary.
  • Mentor and coach junior staff in developing their knowledge and skills.
  • Carry out work in a safe manner, adhering to health and safety procedures at all times.
  • Take personal ownership and responsibility of any company property entrusted to them.
  • Project a professional image to clients and colleagues.
  • Contribute to the future success of Powersystems UK Ltd and its clients.
  • Be able to take the role as lead electrician on projects, reporting to Site Manager and Project Manager. 

►   Key qualifications & experience:

  • Experience of working within the electrical power sector desirable.
  • Experience of working on construction sites.
  • Must hold JIB approved ECS card.
  • Time served Approved Electrician having served recognised apprenticeship to 17th / 18th Edition.
  • Inspection Testing (2391 or equivalent) desirable but not essential.
  • Experience working on Commercial & Industrial installations essential.
  • Ability to work proactively on own or as part of a team.
  • Full UK Driving licence.

►   Salary & Benefits:

  • Highly competitive salary depending on experience and qualifications £16-17.25 per hour + travel paid, with overtime available.
